What we collect
Your email address and platform when you join the playtest. Basic technical logs (browser type, time of visit) to keep the site running.
Why we collect it
To send your playtest key and the playtest dates. To fix the site when it breaks. Nothing more.
Legal basis
We rely on your consent for playtest email and on our legitimate interest for security logs, as set out in applicable data protection laws such as the GDPR.
Who sees it
Kitebone Works staff and the email service that sends the key, under a written processing agreement. We never hand your data to advertisers.
How long we keep it
Playtest emails are deleted 90 days after the playtest ends. Logs are deleted after 30 days.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data, and you can withdraw consent at any time. Write to [email protected] and we answer within 30 days.
Cookies
This site sets no tracking cookies. Your chosen form (Base, Awakened, Ascended) lives in session storage and disappears when you close the tab.
Changes
We post any change here with a new effective date.

Using the site
You may read, share links to and talk about anything here. Do not scrape, overload or attack the site.
Playtest sign-up
Joining the list does not guarantee a key. Keys are limited and assigned by platform and region.
Content and marks
Names, art, logos and music belong to Kitebone Works. You may use screenshots for news, reviews and fan work that credit the game.
Conduct in the playtest
No cheating, no harassment, no leaking builds. We remove accounts that break this rule.
Liability
The site and the playtest are offered as they are. We are not responsible for lost progress in a test build.
Governing law
These terms follow the laws of the place where Kitebone Works is registered, without limiting the consumer rights you have where you live.
End User License Agreement
Applies to the CORDBURN playtest build, version 0.9.
License
Kitebone Works grants you a personal, non-transferable license to install and play the playtest build during the playtest window.
Restrictions
Do not copy, reverse engineer or redistribute the build. Do not stream or record it if your key email says the session is under embargo.
Test data
The build sends crash reports, match timing and input latency to Kitebone Works. It never reads files outside the game folder.
Feedback
Feedback you send may be used to improve the game without further obligation.
Online play
Matchmaking servers may go down without notice during the test. Progress may be wiped at the end.
Termination
The license ends when the playtest closes or when you break these terms. Delete the build when it ends.
Ownership
Kitebone Works keeps all rights in the game, its code, its characters and its music.

Answers for the closed playtest.
When is the playtest?
January 17 to 20, 2027, on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. Keys go out January 10.
I did not get a key
Check your spam folder first. Keys are limited, so not everyone on the list gets one in this round.
Can I play with friends on another platform?
Yes. Cross-play is on by default and can be switched off in Options.
Which controllers work?
Standard pads on every platform, plus arcade sticks and hit boxes on PC.
Accessibility
The build includes remappable inputs, a tap-to-ignite Burn option, subtitle sizing and a high-contrast HUD.
Reporting a bug
Press Select in any menu to open the in-game report form. Attach the match ID shown on the results screen.
